Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician II for Falmouth Hospital located in Hyannis, MA. Sodexo’s growing Healthcare Technology Management Division is seeking solution-oriented candidates who excel at customer service with a proven success as an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II to support Healthcare Technology services.

What You'll Do

  • perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs on a variety of complex medical equipment, including patient monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, defibrillators, anesthesia machines, and more

  • utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues with medical devices to ensure proper functionality.

  • install and configure new medical equipment, ensuring proper integration into hospital systems and networks, and conduct user training on equipment operation.

  • ensure all equipment meets regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, IEC, AAMI) and institutional safety guidelines. Perform safety inspections, electrical safety tests, and calibration to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

What You Bring

  • experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices. 
  • experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices. 
  • excellent communication, customer service and time management skills. 
  • specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment:  sterilizers, vents, dialysis, pumps, anesthesia, monitors, general biomedical equipment
  • certification as a Biomedical Technician (CBET).

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
