Come join our team of dietitians at PIH Health! Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian for PIH Health Hospital-Downey (PHDH), a community-based hospital with a 219 inpatient licensed bed facility (with and average census of 100) and is situated outside the Los Angeles area. PHDH is part of PIH Health, a regional nonprofit healthcare delivery network of three facilities,each campus services a different patient population and offers specialized practices.

What You'll Do

  • In this role, the selected candidate will provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units for this facility;
  • The role will include assist with onboarding, train, and validate new dietitians;
  • Also assist as needed with leadership responsibilities including attending committee meetings, involved in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and performance improvement projects;
  • Work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff regularly and during interdisciplinary meetings.

What You Bring

The successful candidate will: 

  • Hold a Registered Dietitian credential;
  • Prior experience with quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays; 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;  
  • Excellent  time management skills and be a self-starter and a team player;  
  • Be bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, not required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
