Role Overview

Sodexo is hiring a Food Production Manager 2 for Adventist Health Castle in Kailua, Hawaii. In this hands-on role, you'll lead and mentor a dedicated team, ensuring high-quality food production for patients, staff, and visitors. As a key manager, you'll oversee daily operations, maintain food safety standards, and drive efficiency while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do

  • Procurement: Work with vendors on procurement items. Responsible for purchasing manager and purchasing financial audits
  • implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering and patient services
  • deliver high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations 
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals  
  • develop strategic plans

What You Bring

  • a strong culinary background, with the demonstrated ability to stay current with new culinary trends
  • a strong production culinary background, ideally in an up-scale restaurant/retail/catering environment
  • menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends
  • a strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts
  • the ability to successfully lead, develop and train a team
  • Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits
