Controller - Multi Unit, Multi-Service

Sodexo is now hiring our Controller, Multi-Unit for our client partners at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio.  Our successful leader will have a full understanding of, and 3 years of experience with Higher Education Student Meal Plans, be a problem solver with excellent professional polish and have experience presenting to and influencing high-profile, CEO, CFO level campus clients through accurate financial data and diligent research. This role will manage 2 employees and work with our diverse staff including international students.

What You’ll do:  

• Maintain databases   
• Communicate with all levels of the organization
• Coach and monitor results for technical development of others
• Work in a team environment to ensure department deadlines are met
• Foster cooperation toward achieving department and organizational goals
• Work proactively to prevent problems, and identify and implement innovative solutions
• Identify and initiate coaching for accountant development. Provide guidance to new accountants
• Set analysis standards and provide guidance to accountants to maintain strong business relationships
• Ensure integrity of business line internal financial reporting, prepare client income statements and billings
• Apply GAAP and objective accounting judgment to knowledge of contractual agreements and company policy

• Demonstrate analytical ability, Excel skills and Essbase experience
• Work independently and demonstrate organization and comprehension skills
• Have strong interpretation skills, as well as strong verbal & written communication skills
• Have the ability to perform and maintain core responsibilities and accountabilities while simultaneously involved in other department initiatives

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in finance, accounting or related field
