Environmental Services / Custodial Manager 1

Sodexo is #NowHiring our OVERNIGHT ~ 11:00pm - 8:00am shift Environmental Services - Custodial Manager 1 for the University at Buffalo in New York. This is a large urban University with 195 buildings, our Sodexo Custodial Service teams direct operations at 3 University locations. Our teams have the responsibility of driving client satisfaction by providing Quality Control through our SMS systems and providing effective communication with all levels of University Faculty and staff. This role will consistently lead the OVERNIGHT ~ 11:00pm - 8:00am shift. Reporting directly to the General Manager our successful candidate will:

• Manage a diverse team of 15+ diverse union employees
• Consistently lead the OVERNIGHT ~ 11:00pm - 8:00am shift
• Ensure a safe working environment through campus for all employees
• Demonstrate willingness to perform at a high level in a team environment
• Perform all trash and recycle removal at designated on and off campus sites
• Operate vehicles with safe work practices and caution while efficiently transporting waste materials
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in areas of housekeeping services, waste removal, and campus event set-up and tear down
• Operate custodial equipment including but not limited to wet - dry vacuums, extractors, buffers, sprayers, auto scrubbers and electric carts
• Support the team for events, M-F with occasional weekend shifts

• Our successful candidate will have an executive presence to manage client relationship building
• Lead with the professional compassion to dialogue with our valued overnight custodial employees from a very diverse population from around the world
• Expert level computer skills to manage software like Shop Blue, Maximo, iCIMS, KRONOS
• Demonstrated history of success with frontline interviewing, training, and employee retention are mission critical to success in the role.

Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
