Sodexo is seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to come join their dynamic team at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. An HCA Gulf Coast Division Hospital, this is a 200+ bed acute care facility that is known for providing exceptional care in a full range of service areas including: Level III Trauma, Maternity Care & NICU services, Diabetes Management Program, Heart & Vascular services and much more! The dietitian in this role will provide nutrition care to a variety of patients.

What You'll Do

  • Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives within the food & nutrition department
  • Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses and foodservice team

What You Bring

 

  • Have ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and use good judgment to make decisions and work within a self-directed team-oriented work environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups and training skills to provide nutrition information to a wide variety of audiences
  • Be Registered Dietitian and Licensed Dietitian in Texas

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
