Sodexo’s Campus Segment is looking for an innovative Retail Manager, Starbucks for the University at Albany in Albany, NY. This role offers high visibility with students, staff, and clients, requiring strong leadership skills to manage a Starbucks while prioritizing exceptional customer service. We are seeking a forward-thinking leader who embraces technological advancements, adapts to new retail programs, and excels in employee engagement, all while driving strategic growth.

• motivate, coach, mentor and develop managers and frontline (hourly-paid);
• oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;
• ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;
• maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands); and
• maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.

• 3 – 5 years restaurant management experience in National Branded Food concepts (ie: Starbucks, Qdoba, Einstein Bagels, etc), or background in large restaurant or other food concepts;

• have a work history in Food Retail management demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
• possess the ability to manage multiple priorities and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
• demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
