Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Manager, Product Quality Assurance Food Safety for The Pass located in Union City, Ca. This position supports the efforts of Sodexo to ensure that all food suppliers are authorized according to established product quality assurance standards and supports the supply management procurement process. They will be instrumental in auditing food manufacturers and distributors to ensure they are meeting Sodexo standards and requirements. This role will coordinate and monitor food supplier audits and certifications, research and update supplier technical requirements, manage and process food complaints, manage vendor process, develop and analyze trends on product deficiencies with a focus on continuous improvement. 

What You'll Do

  • Audit food manufacturers and distributors
  • Follow up on food complaints attributed to vendors and distributors
  • Monitor food holds and recalls
  • Conduct and coordinate laboratory analysis with contracted laboratories
  • Provide regular reports to Senior Manager, PQA, and to Senior Director, Food Safety & PQA
  • Manage Safety contracts

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and USDA standards
  • Certifications: HACCP, Food Safety, PCQI 
  • Preferably an Osha 10 or 30
  • Health and Safety background

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field
Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years
