Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Catering Manager 4 for our Financial Services account in Dallas, Texas. The Catering Manager role is key to managing successful catering events as well as working with client partners. Sodexo provides the corporate service account with food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions. The Catering Manager 3 will oversee the logistics of the catering department.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise catering services to ensure that client expectations are met, aiming for long-term client relationships and retention.
  • Manage a high-volume catering portfolio exceeding $1.5M in sales, contributing to revenue growth, profit margins, and long-term business opportunities.

  • Plan and implement catering projects by defining objectives, setting timelines, budgeting, and aligning with Sodexo's overall strategic plan for growth.

  • Oversee Sodexo resources, recipes, and catering programs.

  • Manage daily catering events including food production, inventory, product deliveries, invoicing, and procurement.

  • Lead the sales process for catering and conference services.

  • Collaborate with clients and customers to design, plan, and deliver catering events, ensuring satisfaction.
  • Ensure employees have the necessary resources, supplies, and equipment to perform tasks effectively.
  • Monitor employee performance, delegate tasks, and enforce cost control and deadline adherence.
  • Establish and maintain a safe work environment, ensuring food safety and physical safety protocols are followed.
  • Promote and ensure adherence to Sodexo’s Zero Harm mindset.
  • Manage operating costs (labor, inventory, materials) and make necessary adjustments to stay within budget.
  • Control and report on costs, seeking continuous improvement.
  • Supervise catering team by delegating tasks, prioritizing activities, and monitoring adherence to operational standards.

  • Knowledge coordinating and executing multiple events daily
  • Experience with labor controls, managing catering inventory and using catering software

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, food production, or food service management or a related field
