The Food Operations Manager 3 position is located at MyMichigan Medical Center-Midland in Midland, MI.  This leader will be responsible for a dynamic group of employees supporting Nutrition Services. 

 

MyMichigan Health, a non-profit health system headquartered in Midland, Michigan, is a leader in providing award-winning, high-quality care to the 26-county region it serves. With Medical Centers in Alpena, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Midland, Mt. Pleasant, West Branch, Saginaw, Tawas, Standish, and Sault Ste. Marie.

What You'll Do

  • create and deliver innovative and enriching cafe experiences for patients, family and staff daily;
  • have oversight of day-to-day operations; 
  • deliver high quality food service; 
  • procurement and purchasing;
  • create menus based on client needs;
  • implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, and patient services;
  • mentor, develop, and retain frontline staff;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships.

What You Bring

  • have a background in food service or culinary management; 
  • proven ability to mentor, train, and coach frontline employees; 
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
