Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services, General Manager at ECU Roanoke-Chowan Hospital and surrounding sites, in and around Ahoskie, NC. This hospital is part of the 9-hospital health system, and this role will support this progressive organization by providing leadership for our Environmental team in the delivery of safe, sanitary and innovative services to our Patients, Customers and hospital Employees in a variety of settings.  This Director will report to the Sodexo Environmental Services Client Executive for the ECU Health System. The successful candidates will have management experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping and/or Custodial Services, excellent customer service skills along with strong floor care knowledge and computer skills desired. 

What You'll Do

  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores;
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department;
  • support a diverse and inclusive workforce and provide strong leadership.

  • have experience leading and managing a team and is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers;  
  • can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management;
  • are results and safety driven;
  • have experience with vendor and contract management; 
  • have experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving full compliance to HCAHPS, local, state and Joint Commission standards;
  • have strong financial acumen and budget management experience; 
  • are proficient with computers and other technology.

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
