Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Chef Manager for KIPP Schools in Houston, Texas near Beltway 8 and Highway 69 as well as Sugarland. The Chef Manager is charged with efficiently and effectively running the daily meal preparation operations over two central kitchens that support local schools with breakfast and lunch deliveries each day. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. What You'll Do

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations working a typical shift of 4:00am-1:00pm Monday-Friday;
  • deliver high quality food service in compliance with programs including National School Lunch Program (NSLP);
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals; 
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • flexibility with a team work mentality, assisting in kitchen/driving as needed;
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met.

What You Bring

  • large order experience and accuracy;
  • high volume culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance; 
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service; 
  • prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;
  • must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and ServSafe certification.
