Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to oversee retail food service operations at NYP Westchester in Bronxville, NY.

 

This position is responsible for managing high-volume retail food service, ensuring efficient cash handling, and leading a team of approximately 15 union employees. Reporting to the Client Executive, the Retail Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and financial accountability. This role follows a Monday–Friday dayshift schedule (hours may vary based on business needs).

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and manage daily retail food service operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.

  • Lead and supervise a team of union employees, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

  • Manage and oversee heavy-duty cash handling processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure a positive dining experience for all patrons.

  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and cost controls to meet financial targets.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.

  • Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

  • Collaborate with the Client Executive and other leadership to align retail operations with Sodexo’s standards and client expectations.

What You Bring

  • Previous experience in retail food service management, preferably in a healthcare or high-volume setting.

  • Strong background in cash handling and financial accountability.

  • Experience managing union employees is highly preferred.

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in retail operations
