Sodexo is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer 3 for Nassau County Medical Center located in East Meadow, NY. This person will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solutions.  Also, train and mentor junior engineers. 

What You'll Do

The ideal Imaging Service Engineer 3 will have outstanding customer service and communication skills, as well as a strong commitment to delivering excellent repair services in an expedient manner. Experience with high level imaging devices is a must. 

 

  • Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner.
  • Repair, maintain and calibrate medical imaging devices, in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
  • Specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: Siemens MRI and MRI Portables, Linear Accelerators, Hologic Mammography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, Carestream- Radiology Room, Fluoroscopy, Phillips C-Arm, Phillips/ Carestream X-Ray, and some Cath Lab. OEC training or Certification, and Clinical Asset Management is preferred.

What You Bring

  • Experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical imaging devices including Hologic Mammography, X-rays, Siemens MRI, and other imaging equipment.
  • 7+ years' experience in an imaging role.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices.
  • Prior knowledge of renowned medical equipment, preferably Philips, GE, Carestream, Hologic, Siemens, etc.
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training. Significant factory-level training of imaging equipment contributing to the effectiveness of the organization. Preferred CRES nationally
