Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist III at Grand Strand Medical Center, a level I adult trauma center, located along the South Carolina coast. The hospital is designated as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and is the only Comprehensive Stroke Center in the service area.  As part of a dynamic team, this candidate will demonstrate strong clinical and nutrition support skills:   

 

                                              3 weeks’ vacation and 3 personal days per calendar year!

What You'll Do

  • Perform nutrition assessments and provide nutrition support for patients in two 8-bed medical critical care units, working closely with the critical care team during daily rounds
  • Provide general clinical nutrition knowledge to support multiple inpatient units and population groups, including progressive care unit and stroke unit
  • Perform nutrition focused physical exams as part of the nutrition assessment
  • Provide nutrition education on acute and chronic diseases
  • Provide exceptional nutrition care utilizing NCP with prior knowledge of nutrition support and experience with Electronic Health Records
  • Be an effective communicator who collaborates with other disciplines for optimal patient outcomes
  • Exhibit flexibility based on schedule changes and varying job duties
  • Perform quality improvement initiatives such as clinical performance improvement projects, patient satisfaction rounds, monthly test trays and assist with FNS diet in-services as needs arise

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: 7+ months general supervision  

Minimum Functional Experience:  3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty
