Role Overview

Sodexo Education is seeking a Child Nutrition Food Operations Manager 3 to assist with managing KIPP Schools' large food and nutrition program located in Houston, TXThe Food Operations Manager works with the General Manager and clients in all matters relating to the National School Breakfast & Lunch Programs and Food Management for the contract. The Operations Manager will oversee directing day to day operations of our dining facilities and will assume GM responsibilities in his/hers absence. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. What You'll Do

  • Deliver high quality food service;
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals; 
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships;
  • Create a positive environment; 
  • Have oversight of day-to-day operations by making sure menu planning, meal pattern compliance, recipes, and HACCP standards are being followed; and
  • Create a positive environment, on a schedule that is typically M-F with nights/weekends off.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years   

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
