Sodexo is seeking a Patient Service Manager to join our team at Harlem Hospital, New York, NY
Harlem Hospital is a 272-bed acute care facility and a designated Level 2 Trauma Center, offering a full spectrum of specialty services, including a burn unit, adult and pediatric intensive care units (ICU), neonatal ICU, and cardiac care unit. The Food & Nutrition Department at Harlem Hospital consists of 51 dedicated employees committed to delivering excellent patient care
The Patient Service Manager 2 will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the Food & Nutrition Department and managing a team of 11 Food Service Associates. The team will be tasked with providing exceptional customer service, taking patient food orders, delivering meal trays, restocking floors, and delivering snacks.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring that patient food service is executed with the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Patient Service Manager 2 will oversee daily activities to ensure all dietary needs are met and patient satisfaction is achieved.

Supervise and manage 11 Food Service Associates, ensuring efficient and high-quality service
Oversee patient meal delivery, food orders, floor stock, and snack distribution
Monitor team performance to ensure exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction
Collaborate with clinical staff to meet dietary needs and address patient concerns
Maintain a clean and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Participate in department initiatives to improve food service quality and patient experience
Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed

Previous experience in a food service management or patient dining role, preferably in a healthcare setting
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to the needs of patients and staff
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
