Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Grounds Manager 3 for Pembroke Hill School located in Kansas City, Missouri. This manager will provide supervision for grounds maintenance and landscape development services to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company. At Sodexo, we deliver food, nutrition, environmental and facilities management solutions to partnered K-12 schools. What You'll Do

  • Supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards;
  • ensure employees have appropriate equipment and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines;
  • ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures;
  • have a hands-on, innovative leadership approach to management;
  • establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees;
  • manages the budget by controlling costs.

What You Bring

  • Strong technical knowledge of landscaping, pest control, snow removal, and/or grounds management;
  • a background in horticulture or related field and a clear understanding of all aspects of full-service grounds management;
  • exceptional, multi-tasking, time management, and professional communication skills;
  • strong leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building;
  • adept at working independently and making sound business decisions within company guidelines.
