Sodexo Corporate Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area General Manager to lead food service operations for a premier Financial Services Client in the Johnston, Rhode Island area. This is a dynamic opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio, including cafés, catering, pantries, and retail markets.

The Area General Manager will serve as the on-site leader at a flagship location, while providing operational oversight across multiple nearby sites. Reporting to the District Manager, this individual will help shape and execute strategies that drive service excellence, operational efficiency, and financial performance across the region.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily operations across multiple locations, ensuring all activities align with Sodexo standards and client expectations.

  • Serve as the in-unit leader and primary point of contact for multiple accounts/contracts within the assigned geography, acting as the client liaison for multi-site management.

  • Conduct planned and unplanned visits to each operating account to oversee project planning, implement new processes and technologies, and engage with clients to ensure optimal resource allocation.

  • Oversee and coordinate all site activities through direct reports, including managers, supervisors, and frontline staff, ensuring seamless communication and operational efficiency.

  • Deliver high-quality food services across various platforms, including café dining, catering, pantries, and micro-markets.

  • Collaborate with account managers to develop business plans and budgets that support system and district goals. Regularly review and analyze financial statements and data to ensure financial objectives are met for both the client and Sodexo.

  • Build and maintain strong client and customer relationships, including regular engagement with C-suite executives to foster trust and partnership.

  • Support strategic planning initiatives, partnering with the District Manager to drive growth and performance improvements across the region.

  • Lead system-wide efforts for succession planning, employee development, diversity initiatives, training, and constructive counseling, promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
