Role Overview

Sodexo Energy & Resource is seeking an Area Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to support one of our Global Energy Clients in the Western portion of the United States. Our ideal candidate will reside in or in the immediate vicinity of Richmond, Bakersfield, or El Segundo, CA. Sodexo Energy & Resource teams deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to diverse locations. From headquarters to offshore rigs, our integrated facilities management, dining and 24/7 hospitality offerings are designed to meet your offshore and onshore service needs.  

 

**a minimum of 30% travel is required 

What You'll Do

  • Manage client relationships and partner with clients to drive a safety culture
  • Ensure compliance and alignment with local and state regulations
  • Manage multi-units domestically and within client specific budget
  • Manage direct reports and support approximately 350 employees
  • Development and creation of correction action plans, root cause analysis and training
  • RFP responses, due diligence and site visits for business development

  • a background in safety to include OSHA 30 certification
  • strong communication and team development skills
  • experience overseeing multiple sites
  • ability to build and maintain relationships
  • strong knowledge of relevant federal state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience

MinimumManagement Experience - 7

Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in occupational health & safety

Certification / License Requirement - OSHA 30 Hour certification

Hazard Analysis trained

Must be 21 at least 21 years of age
