Sodexo is seeking a General Manager of Food for our healthcare segment in Bolivia, NC.  Part of the Novant Health Coastal Region, this is a 5 hospital system that’s 30 minutes from Wilmington and South Port, North Carolina and 45 minutes north of Myrtle Beach, SC. This is an 80 bed acute care facility with room service, patient dining, an EAT's cafeteria platform, CaterTrax and physicians dining.  This director level role will support a team of 25 employees and will be a trusted advisor that’s central to the client partnership. The successful candidate will support team engagement and client relations, while being hands on with the Executive Chef, front line supervisors, and staff. 

What You'll Do

  • have oversight of day-to-day operations of all food operations
  • deliver high quality food service
  • effectively lead the team through all Sodexo managers and hospital front line staff
  • ensure delivery of high quality food services including cafeteria retail, patient meals, and any catering needs that may arise
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals to ensure HACCP, regulatory and Sodexo standards compliance
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships.

  • Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
