Sodexo is seeking an experienced leader for a Food Operations Manager 2 at ECU Vidant Medical Center located in Greenville, NC. This Food Operations Manager 2 will have direct oversight of retail dining and catering operations to support Day Shift (7:00am start time). This position will also support the patient services team. Leading a team 45 frontline associates, this position will be responsible for some aspects of financial reporting, patient satisfaction and employee engagement. The campus includes 3 sites: main cafe and 2 micro marts.  

 

Typical schedule is Monday-Friday

*includes a weekend rotation once a month*

ECU Vidant Medical Center is a 900 bed hospital with multiple retail locations and doctors lounges. It is the primary teaching hospital for East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine and is the flagship medical center for ECU Health. ECU Health is a Level 1 Trauma Center, one of 6 in the state of North Carolina. It is the only level I trauma center east of Raleigh, and thus is the hub of medical care for this rural region of over 2 million people.

What You Bring

  • have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
  • possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service
  • exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and/or
  • demonstrate working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs.
  • a food background is a plus, along with Sodexo programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
