Sodexo has an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Nutrition Manager III at St. David’s Medical Center, a 371-bed acute care hospital and a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital which offers a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties, including its acclaimed Level IV maternity unit, maternal-fetal medicine, a high-risk maternal and neonatal transport team, the region’s largest Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  Additionally, the hospital specializes in treating high acuity surgical patients, including complex spine, total joint, advanced surgical oncology, bariatric and general surgery.

What You'll Do

Position will report to the General Manager and ideal candidate will:

 

  • Manage nutrition care services and have oversight of dietitians
  • Serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team along with other Sodexo managers and represent the department on hospital wide medical staff committees
  • Provide clinical support for the hospital and see patients
  • Have strong management experience in acute care nutrition services

  • Have excellent communication and customer skills and be an outstanding team player
  • Have a highly visible role with client interaction and represent the department
  • Prior experience and a strong understanding of regulatory readiness and nutrition standards of care
  • Be a Registered Dietitian and Licensed in Texas

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: 6 years experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timeframes within the overall policy framework 
Minimum Functional Experience: 5 years as experienced specialized practitioner  able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to specialists.
