Sodexo is seeking an Imaging Service Engineer I for PIH Health Whittier Hospital located in Whittier, CA.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner
  • Repair, maintain and calibrate medical imaging devices, in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, calibration, and tests

What You Bring

  • 1+ years of imaging experience (preferably radio frequency, X-ray portables, C-Arms, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, etc.)
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices
  • Ability to complete preventative & corrective maintenance on medical devices
  • Specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: Siemens or GE Ultrasound, X-Ray portables, C-Arms and general X-Ray experience is preferred.  Hologic Mammography, OEC training, or Certifications are preferred, but not required and will train. 
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation schedule as required
  • This position will support/drive to multiple locations, must have valid driver's license.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Reuqirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of imaging equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience within a healthcare setting with direct responsibility for the maintenance and repair of clinical devices and/or 1 year of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment and/or entry level of formalized training and/or equivalent military training
