Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager 1 for Bridgeport Hospital part of the Yale New Haven Health System, located in Bridgeport, CT. Bridgeport Hospital has 501 licensed inpatient beds on two campuses, one in Bridgeport and one in Milford (plus 42 beds licensed under Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital), more than 2,600 employees, more than 1100 active physicians representing more than 60 sub-specialties and 230 medical/surgical residents and fellows in programs affiliated with Yale School of Medicine.

 

Sodexo provides a Host/Hostess meal delivery system with a room service menu to our patients 7 days a week from 7a-7p. Each meal service provides meals for 300-350 patients. The Patient Services Manager will be directly responsible for managing a team of 15 employees.

What You'll Do

  • regularly analyze patient satisfaction data and implement additional measurements and action plans in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance;
  • have oversight of the patient Services area, patient food service production, and diet office;
  • ensure excellence in service quality and delivery schedules;
  • act as the liaison between the dietitians, nursing managers and the units. This role will participate in patient safety, patient experience initiatives;
  • work with the diet office to review and address any patient menu/meal concern;
  • daily patient meal rounding;
  • identify process improvement initiatives and oversee the implementation;
  • employee training for compliance, safety, sanitation, customer service and HR Functions;
  • ensure and drive efforts for Gold Check Standards & HACCP guide lines;
  • work with the culinary team staff to address any customer complaints or issues relative to food items

What You Bring

  • possess at least 2 years lead food management experience with a focus on patient services and satisfaction;
  • have the ability to be creative and innovative;
  • have a strong working knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines;
  • have a commitment to quality and customer service;
  • have excellent leadership and communication skills;
  • provide direction, guidance, and supervision of patient hospitality employees at patient care units;
  • serve as senior and primary representative of patient care activities
