Environmental Services / Custodial Manager 2

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services / Custodial Services Manager 2 at St David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX.  The hospital is 450 beds. This evening position will work Monday through Friday, rotating weekends and some holidays. Relocation is not offered at this time. 

This position will assist the General Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department by overseeing all evening and night housekeeping operations. It will also be responsible for maintaining payroll records, and schedules. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

• be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores;
• provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department;
• lead teams and departmental projects and initiatives;
• effectively manage the Unit Operating System; and/or
• Support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

• is a leader who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a health care housekeeping system;
• in-depth knowledge of Sodexo ES systems and processes including SMS, UOS, Gold Check, ENGAGE and black light inspections;
• strong leadership skills and has the ability to work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion;
• 1-3 years previous custodial or housekeeping management experience in a hospital or health-care environment;
• ability to analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading hospital committees and change management;
• experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon time-lines;
• experience improving patient satisfaction, and driving full compliance to HCAHPS, local, state and Joint Commission standards;
• proficiency with computers and other technology;
• experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations;
