Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Service Manager 2 to join our team at the US Marine Corps at Mess Hall BB 125 Sneads Ferry, North Carolina.  Courthouse Bay is a subdivision of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and is home to the Marine Corps Engineer School, 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, and the 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion. Located near Camp Lejeune's southwestern Sneads Ferry gate, the sub-camp is largely self-sufficient, in that it has its own chow hall, post exchangeMWR recreation facilities, and water supply.  The chow hall is open seven days a week feeding three meals per day, it feeds 1800 meals per day. 

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the food service program.
  • FOH & BOH oversight
  • Manage a team of 30
  •  Some weekends and holidays will be required. Managers rotate

  • Menu planning & forecasting processes, and understanding of safe food handling practices, qualities, and standards (e.g. HACCP forms, temperature logs, safety audits, inventory management, etc.)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel Worksheet usage and design
  • Point of Sale, cash handling, and reconciliation of cash drawer experience
  • Strong office organizational skills
