Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a part-time Outpatient Pediatric Eating Disorder Dietitian to join our growing team at the Children's Hospital at Erlanger in Chattanooga, TN. This facility is recognized as a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC). The Children's Hospital at Erlanger provides a full range of pediatric subspecialties.  This position will work one day a week in the Pediatric Eating Disorder Clinic, then as needed with the Metabolic Clinic.  

 

This position is fully remote and will work an eight-hour day every Wednesday; they must be flexible to add occasional patients or meetings to their schedule on additional days.  Can live anywhere in the US, but must be able to work 8 AM-5 PM EST.

What You'll Do

  • Provide nutritional care to pediatric patients with eating disorders and metabolic disorders
  • Develop and implement medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care
  • Provide education to patients and families; provide staff education to ensure the safe management and care of clients and families  
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team during team conferences to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and licensed in Tennessee or ability to obtain
  • Solid experience with pediatric patients with eating disorders, required
  • Experience with metabolic disorders, preferred 
  • Exceptional time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills; and
  • Ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision, and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Management Experience: 7+ months general supervision  

Minimum Functional Experience:  3 years experienced specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty
