Role Overview

Sodexo North America is embarking on a bold, company-wide transformation of its operating model—a strategic initiative to simplify food and supply processes, optimize economies of scale, and deliver superior outcomes for clients and operators. This transformation touches every corner of the business—Sales, Marketing, Operations (Entegra, segment sites, and Live!), Culinary, FM expert, IS&T, and Supply.

As the Food & Supply Transformation Director, you will produce content and lead the formal governance of the overall transformation with all parties involved. You will showcase value delivered, explain our approach, educate leadership and convince all key stakeholders. Overall orchestration on decision-making, crystal-clear communication and alignment are key to our success.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, agile execution team committed to "speed over perfection" and with a relentless focus on delivering real results for our operators and clients.

This is a remote position. Preference for candidates in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • The transformation is built over a dozen workstreams. For each one, challenge & support, review and govern proposed approach, secure & accelerate value delivery
  • Contribute to overall management of the transformation: prioritization cross workstreams, leading some ad-hoc projects directly, managing overall risk, inertia and drumbeat execution, secure delivery.
  • Work closely with finance to secure benefits realization, track progress, KPIs and identify opportunities. Use data and fact-based analysis for swift decision making.
  • Formalize and communicate decisions on the future end to end process and operating model of Sodexo and any incremental change we will bring. Bring clarity to all on the operating model incremental changes. 
  • Work closely with the portfolio, pmo and change management senior director to decide delivery rhythm and carefully craft change package: which sites, which pilot, which time frame, etc.
  • Produce content for alignment across all stakeholders, inc. IS&T for systems upgrades, change resources for required training and Sodexo group in Paris as some topics have been delegated to North America to lead the way globally.

What You Bring

Key qualifications include:

  • 5+ years’ experience in leading business transformation with high financial impact.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, strong project management and good financial acumen
  • Experience in engaging C-level executives of large organizations, via well-crafted communication
  • Knowledge of food services operations, supply and distribution preferred.
  • Strategic consulting background highly valued
  • Experience in transforming operating models
