Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a Senior Catering Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering operations at North Carolina A&T State University. This role ensures the successful execution of events ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions, delivering exceptional service and culinary excellence to university departments, student organizations, and external clients.
North Carolina A&T State University is the largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in the United States, with an enrollment of over 13,000 students—and growing. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, innovative, and creative team as the Senior Catering Manager.
Event Planning & Execution:
Coordinate and manage catering services for a variety of events including conferences, receptions, academic functions, and student activities.
Menu Development:
Collaborate with culinary leadership to design diverse, innovative menus that accommodate client preferences, dietary needs, and special requests.
Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Build strong relationships with university departments, faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Scheduling & Logistics:
Oversee all catering bookings, schedules, and timelines. Ensure the seamless delivery of services in alignment with event specifications.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage catering staff to ensure professional, efficient service. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor budgets, control costs, and implement strategies to drive profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure excellence in food quality, presentation, and customer service. Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and university guidelines.
Inventory & Equipment Management:
Oversee logistical planning including transportation, supply ordering, and coordination of rental equipment and setup.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze client feedback and operational performance to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for service enhancement.

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in catering, food production, or food service management or a related field
