Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a strong leader for the General Manager 2 - Multi-Service role at Mt. Ascutney Hospital, located in Windsor, VT. 

 

The GM2-Multi-Service will oversee a team of approximately 35 client employees in this critical access community hospital. The unit consists of a 25 bed acute care and 11 bed rehab. A residential facility feeding approximately 42 patients can also be found on-site. The cafe hours are 6:30am-1:30pm.

 

Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center is a leader in the region’s Accountable Community for Health. Located in scenic Windsor, VT, you will find the area to be one of the most beautiful locations in New England. Along the Connecticut River, and beneath Mount Ascutney, Windsor is where history and scenic beauty come together.  

 

What You'll Do

  • manage the environmental services and food and nutrition departments
  • high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations 
  • utilize exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
  • maintain focus on driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance

What You Bring

  • you are an expert in building and maintaining strong customer / client relationships
  • strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance 
  • have 3-5 years previous custodial and food service management experience, preferably in a hospital environment
  • experience analyzing data, as well as presenting effectivley to all levels within the organization 
  • strong project management skills
  • Registered Dietitian (RD), Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), or Clinical Nutrition Manager (CNM) experience a plus for this role.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years
