Role Overview

Sodexo is currently searching a Vice President, Culinary for our Campus & Government segments. 

The VP of Culinary leads the Campus and Government Culinary Strategy, aligning with Segment leadership, Marketing, Finance, Supply Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

 

They oversee:

  • Menu & Recipe Development: Ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Culinary & Menu Processes: Meeting theoretical cost targets by menu type.
  • Supply Management: Defining product specs and financial metrics to drive value.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborating with CSR to integrate sustainable food and packaging strategies and measure impact.

What You'll Do

  • Culinary Strategy & Execution: Drives innovation and manages the Culinary Development and Menu Team, ensuring projects meet cost targets and business objectives.
  • Product & Menu Development: Owns the product selection process for food and non-food items, using qualitative and quantitative metrics to drive financial performance.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Leads talent development, training, and succession planning for culinary professionals.
  • Client-Focused Innovation: Supports RFPs and collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to deliver competitive, client-centric menu solutions.

Effectively communicates culinary innovation strategy across the organization, fostering alignment and engagement.

What You Bring

  • Proven ability to deliver high-impact projects on time and within budget to meet ambitious goals.
  • Culinary expertise with deep food service industry knowledge
  • 10+ years in Product Development (culinary background preferred)
  • 5+ years in operations (preferred)
  • Strong project management and financial acumen
  • Skilled in public speaking and presentations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience: 10 years
