Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a skilled CAD Operator to support a manufacturing client in Hodges, SC. In this role, the CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Operator will be responsible for managing, revising, and maintaining the client’s master technical drawings using CAD software. This position will work closely with the CAD team, as well as Contractors, Project Managers, and Facilities teams, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all master CAD drawings. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of supporting a variety of cross-functional initiatives within a fast-paced technical environment.

What You'll Do

  • Create, update, maintain, and retrieve engineering discipline drawings—including MEP building plans and technical schematics—in accordance with client specifications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and revise Master CAD drawings, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.

  • Attend project meetings with the Manager to discuss and prioritize special assignments and deadlines.

  • Conduct field surveys to verify existing conditions, take accurate measurements, draft sketches, and annotate drawings to reflect as-built updates.

  • Prepare and maintain facility safety diagrams, including fire evacuation routes, assembly areas, and occupancy capacity maps.

  • Contribute to CAD specialty projects both independently and as part of the CAD team.

  • Participate in weekly team meetings and assist with administrative support, including preparing PDF packages and printing project drawings as needed.

What You Bring

  • Associate degree (A.A.S.) in Design and Drafting, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience using AutoCAD in a professional setting

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, civil, and construction drawings and documents

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow complex instructions accurately

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities

  • Technologically proficient and able to effectively use software tools to support client operations

  • Self-motivated with strong time management and multitasking skills to meet project deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate with internal teams and engage professionally with clients

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years experience to include relocation, construction/project, space & planning, and furniture management
