Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center in Ashland, Ohio. University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center is committed to providing the residents of Ashland and the surrounding communities with high quality health care. Located between two of Ohio’s largest cities, Cleveland and Columbus, this non-profit, acute care hospital is a 55-bed, full-service facility, offering comprehensive medical and surgical services for children and adults

What You'll Do

This Executive Chef will be responsible for management of production and daily foodservice operations.  Additionally, the position will be responsible for all catering and patient service responsibilities.

What You Bring

The Executive Chef must have experience with Sodexo's Food Management System (FMS) or similar systems, a solid knowledge of HACCP standards and the ability to manage a team of 12 team members.  The successful candidate will also possess a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines, computer literacy as well as excellent leadership, communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
