Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to join our dining team at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader with a strong retail background who is passionate about delivering an exceptional dining experience to students, faculty, and guests.
As Retail Operations Manager, you will lead the day-to-day retail food service operations across multiple dining outlets, including national and in-house brands.
Leading, coaching, and developing hourly retail food service staff
Delivering exceptional customer service and promoting a welcoming dining environment
Managing point-of-sale (POS) systems and ensuring accurate cash-handling procedures
Ensuring compliance with Sodexo’s food and physical safety standards
Conducting brand audits to maintain consistency with retail concept standards
Overseeing merchandising, marketing, product ordering, and vendor compliance
Coordinating opening and closing procedures for retail locations
Managing digital and physical signage for marketing and communication needs

Previous experience in retail food operations or hospitality management
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Understanding of retail branding, merchandising, and marketing principles
Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and vendor management
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
A passion for delivering quality food and memorable service in a fast-paced, collegiate environment

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
