Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager 1 at  Howard University HospitalHoward University Hospital is a long standing partner with Sodexo with 155 beds. A private, nonprofit institution, HUH is the nation's only teaching hospital located on the campus of a historically Black university. It offers medical students a superior learning environment and opportunities to observe or participate in ground-breaking clinical and research work with professionals who are changing the face of health care. 

 

This position will be culinary focused with the responsibility surrounding the hospital's retail locations.

What You'll Do

  • create and deliver innovative and enriching café experiences for patients, family and staff daily; 
  • deliver high quality food service; 
  • collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the retail experience;
  • perform management functions that include direct supervision of hourly associates including employee development;
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
