Role Overview

Sodexo has an exciting opening for a Social Media Manager to join our team. This strategist will help shape the digital presence of Sodexo in North America and its business brands by supporting the evolution of the organization’s social media channels and engagement to strengthen brand and reputation and support marketing and communication goals.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with regional, segment and brand marketers and communicators to plan, develop and execute social media campaigns and ongoing content that drives successful business outcomes.
  • Define a data-driven channel strategy and content strategy and execute by identifying, sourcing and developing effective content for publishing.
  • Stay abreast of algorithms, digital trends, and platform evolutions – particularly with multimedia sharing channels - to manage our social media program with corporate and product accounts, including day-to-day social media content planning, publishing, moderation, real-time engagement, and reporting to enable effective digital marketing activities using performance measures and insights, market research, and industry data to inform and validate recommendations.
  • Establish KPIs and lead social analytics, digital listening and reporting to drive decision-making and demonstrate return on engagement (ROE).
  • Support governance activities including developing standard operating procedures, documenting best practices, developing and conducting trainings and providing direction to marketing and communications partners to help increase channel and post engagement and expand outreach efforts.

What You Bring

Key Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in digital marketing, marketing, communications or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple social media channels, accounts and brands concurrently for professional business purposes, preferably for a large global organization understanding both B2B and B2C strategies, including issues management and monitoring.
  • Experience creating cross-platform social media strategies, including expansion into new channels, multimedia content and post formats (e.g., You Tube, Instagram Reels)
  • Proactive, collaborative account planning, content strategy, and community management to drive engagement on social media channels, using data to drive strategies. 
  • Experience collaborating to source content and in crafting high-quality content in multiple formats appropriate for each channel, guiding creative for different audiences and different channels, and editing and proofreading to ensure a high level of quality control
  • Demonstrated use of social media management tools (e.g., SproutSocial, Hootsuite, Sprinklr) and social listening platforms (e.g., Meltwater, Synthesio, Simply Measured) to manage and measure social media activities
  • Understanding digital marketing strategies to include global social media platforms, cross-platform content strategy, paid social, content marketing, audience experience and engagement, and measurement for a brand
