Sodexo is seeking a well rounded operations enthusiast to join the team as a Food Operations Manager 2 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital in Kenansville, NC. This is an 81 bed acute care facility that supports patient services, catering, and our retail café.

What You'll Do

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of 20 and all aspects of the food service operation.  Strong preference for applicants who have solid organizational skills, client and patient engagement proficiency, and customer service.  

  • be responsible for purchasing, weekly financials, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • have culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance; 
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
  • achieve company and client financial targets and goals;

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
