Senior Solution Architect

Sodexo's Technology, Data, Digital  & Innovation team is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect

Remote role with the preferred candidate residing in the Eastern Standard Time Zone

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will lead the practice and define the technical vision for food management systems, designing end-to-end solutions that support business objectives.  You will collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define architecture, guide implementation, and ensure the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. You will be responsible to ensure solution is implemented as per vendors best practices and compliant with Sodexo guidelines in the most efficient way (cost, quality, time, simplification/reuse) 

• Lead the design and development of complex software systems and architectures.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and architecture blueprints.
• Define solution architecture standards, patterns, and frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, DevOps, product managers, and stakeholders.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure solution effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to developers and junior architects.
• Work with the global team to ensure alignment with Sodexo’s architectural standards and governance models.
• Manage vendor resources, ensuring adherence to Sodexo’s ITIL-based IT service management processes.

Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience. Salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education, and training.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software development or solution architecture.
• Deep expertise in Azure, microservices, APIs, DevOps tools, etc.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
• Proven experience with modern application development (REST, GraphQL, CI/CD, serverless, etc.).
• Ability to document and communicate complex architectures clearly.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
• Leadership and mentoring skills — ability to guide and elevate team capabilities.
• Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability and resilience in the face of shifting priorities and new challenges.
• High level of accountability, initiative, and ownership.
• Cloud certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert) a plus
• Experience in Food domain a plus 
• Familiarity with data architecture, security compliance (HIPAA, GDPR), and integration best practices a plus 
• Knowledge of enterprise software (ERP, CRM, middleware) and system interoperability a plus
