Sodexo is seeking an experienced Traveling Biomedical Equipment Specialist, specializing in sterilizers to support healthcare facilities from Philadelphia to Maine and the surrounding regions. This role functions as a Subject Matter Expert in sterilizer systems, while also bringing advanced expertise in one or more high-end healthcare technology modalities.

 

The specialist will serve as a technical leader within the region, operating independently with minimal supervision, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced clinical equipment inventories. This position requires strong planning, communication, and organizational skills.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the regional SME and modality expert for sterilizer systems, ensuring peak performance and adherence to manufacturer and regulatory standards.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sterilizers and other advanced clinical equipment across multiple facilities.

  • Provide technical expertise in related equipment areas, including high-end biomedical devices, capital planning, and device networking/integration.

  • Collaborate with facility leadership to develop maintenance strategies that support clinical and operational goals.

  • Maintain accurate service documentation, records, and reports.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic or Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience in managing, maintaining, and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment.

  • Advanced technical proficiency in sterilizer systems to manufacturer standards.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively throughout the assigned region.

  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication abilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
