Role Overview

Sodexo's Airline Lounge Segment has an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Operations Manager join the elite team of professionals who will operate the British Airways Lounge at Newark International Airport in Newark, NJ.  We are seeking a talented individual who will commit to the challenges of creating and delivering a culinary-driven, upscale experience within a thoughtfully designed travel oasis. The ideal manager candidate will have eclectic menu knowledge and upscale a la carte experience. This is a hands-on manager role requiring previous experience managing upscale food production.

What You'll Do

  • Supervise lounge staff and third-party service providers to ensure smooth daily operations

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food & beverage service, and guest comfort

  • Monitor and manage lounge capacity, guest flow, and compliance with airline policies

  • Coordinate with flight operations, ground services, and airport authorities

  • Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues promptly and professionally

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and security regulations

  • Manage inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships

  • Support budget planning and cost control initiatives

  • Lead staff training, scheduling, and performance evaluations

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
