Sodexo Campus Segment is seeking an experienced Executive Chef 3 to join our team at SUNY Oneonta, a mid-size public university recognized for its excellence and value. Sodexo has proudly partnered with Oneonta Auxiliary Services (OAS) since 1999, recently extending our partnership for another 10 years.
As Executive Chef, you will provide culinary leadership across a diverse and dynamic dining program—including resident dining, retail, catering, and a full-service bakery. You’ll collaborate closely with our long-tenured team, support student employees, and ensure the delivery of exceptional dining experiences that reflect Sodexo’s commitment to innovation, quality, and client satisfaction.

Located in the foothills of the Catskills, the city of Oneonta (pop. 14,000) sits midway between Albany and Binghamton. SUNY Oneonta serves approximately 6,500 students and has been consistently recognized among the region’s best public institutions by U.S. News & World Report and Money Magazine.
Lead, mentor, and develop a culinary team of both union and non-union staff.
Oversee menu planning, food production, and presentation across multiple dining outlets, including:
2 unlimited dining halls
A large retail marketplace (featuring grocery items, sushi, pizza, and more)
3 coffee/snack shops, including Starbucks and Dragon Tea
A robust catering department and on-site bakery
Drive culinary innovation while ensuring nutritious, high-quality, and cost-effective menus.
Maintain food and workplace safety standards in compliance with Sodexo and regulatory requirements.
Partner with campus stakeholders to align dining programs with student needs and campus culture.
Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
