Sodexo is hiring an Environmental Services General Manager 3 (onsite Director) for SSM Health St. Mary's located in Jefferson City, MO.  This city has been Missouri's state capitol for more than 100 years and is centrally located between St. Louis and Kansas City and about an hour to the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks with more than 1,100 miles of shoreline offering access to public beaches, great fishing, and plenty of room for fun and recreation on the water.

 

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Jefferson City is a 134 bed full-service, community hospital with a rich history. The hospital moved to a new state-of-the-art building in 2014 and features an evidence-based design that focuses on healing environments and patient safety; serving patients in need of emergency, cardiology, orthopedic, cancer, maternity and medical imaging services.  The SSM Health system is a multi-institutional not-for-profit health system serving the comprehensive health needs of communities across the Midwest.

 

This General Manager will direct and develop a team of approximately 30 Environmental Services frontline employees and a Sodexo  Operations Manager. Overall, the GM will motivate staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.

What You'll Do

  • have exceptional client service mentality and executive presence
  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department
  • partner with the Environment of Care Committee, Infection Prevention Director and other key members of hospital leadership
  • effectively manages the Unit Operating System
  • support a diverse and inclusive workforce

What You Bring

  • are leaders who develops and motivates a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system
  • are an expert in building and maintain strong customer / client relationships
  • possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion
  • have 3-5 years previous custodial or housekeeping director level experience preferably in a hospital environment
  • can analyze data, present and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees and change management
  • have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines
  • are proficient with computers and other technology
  • have experience with vendor and contract management, as well as union and contract negotiations
  • have strong financial acumen and budget management experience

Qualifications & Requirements
