Sodexo is seeking a Patient Service Manager 2 at UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center located in Des Moines, IAThis strategic food service leader will direct and manage the patient feeding operations at this medical center. This food service manager will lead, mentor and develop a team of frontline staff and supervisors and will work closely with nurses and patients to ensure we are meeting and exceeding expectations

What You'll Do

  • evaluate and develop service levels for the Patient Services Program, working to exceed patient satisfaction
  • oversee Sodexo’s Patient Dining Program (At Your Request) and daily meal rounding inclusive of service recovery
  • collaborate with clinical, food service and interdisciplinary teams to enhance the patient experience
  • perform tray assessments to ensure food quality, presentation and tray accuracy
  • present team updates at monthly meetings to senior management
  • perform management functions that including supervision of hourly associates, employee development, scheduling, and other HR related matters

  • experience reporting on metrics and department data to management
  • demonstrated success in implementing process or procedure improvements and enhancements

  • knowledge of nutrition and specialized diets

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 2 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
