Role Overview

Sodexo at Sharp HealthCare is seeking a strategic and experienced Retail Area Operations Manager to lead systemwide retail initiatives across five campuses. This key leadership role will oversee café and catering operations, working closely with on-site managers to deliver innovative, high-quality dining experiences that delight customers and support organizational goals. The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented leader with strong culinary expertise, a passion for excellence, and the ability to implement corporate programs while driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and support retail food service operations across five Sharp HealthCare campuses.
  • Collaborate with on-site managers to ensure consistent, high-quality café and catering experiences.
  • Drive innovation in retail dining concepts, menus, and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and monitor corporate programs, standards, and compliance across all locations.
  • Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for efficiency, growth, and service excellence.
  • Partner with culinary teams to elevate food quality, presentation, and variety.
  • Lead training and development initiatives to build strong, service-focused teams.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years
