Sodexo is seeking a Full-time Registered Dietitian to work as the School District Dietitian for Holyoke Public School District. This is a 46-week per year position with June and July off. The Registered Dietitian will provide nutritional guidance and menu support to our operations team and frontline managers as the nutrition expert for the district. This is a great opportunity for new RD's as well as experienced Dietitians!

What You'll Do

  • menu planning and nutritional analysis, including system-wide staff training on computerized nutrition-analysis system;
  • develop meal plan adjustments for special diets required by the district and work closely with school nurses;
  • ensuring compliance with USDA National School Breakfast, Lunch, Snack and CACFP Dinner Programs;
  • manage nutrition databases including PrimeroEdge and Nutrislice;

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and licensure (LDN) in state of MA;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels;
  • ability to effectively engage, motivate and influence others regarding their nutrition;
  • history of working independently with minimal direction;
  • committed to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas to implement
  • preferred but not required - previous experience with National School Lunch/Breakfast programs, along with knowledge of current USDA regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
