Role Overview

As Sodexo's Director of Client Retention & Engagement, you will lead strategic efforts to retain and grow our Campus client portfolio by developing winning business solutions, building strong relationships, and driving financial performance. You’ll analyze client needs, craft compelling proposals, and collaborate across teams to deliver value and innovation. This role requires deep financial acumen, CRM expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. You’ll travel frequently (60%+), engage with clients and students, and ensure high-quality data and reporting to support retention and growth strategies. Employee will reside near a major airport in the territory: TX, OK, LA, MS, AR, MO, KS, NE, IA, IL, IN, MI, WI and MN.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a multi-year portfolio and develop retention strategies
  • Influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Build and present winning proposals that drive client retention
  • Travel extensively to engage with clients, students, and leadership
  • Lead retention presentations and assist in contract development
  • Conduct cost-benefit and needs analyses to shape business solutions
  • Research market trends and competitor strategies
  • Ensure CRM data quality and reporting compliance

  • Proven success in client relations or sales, preferably in the Campus segment
  • Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking
  • Ability to read and respond to RFPs effectively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working with C-suite and senior leaders
  • Comfort with frequent travel (60%+)
  • CRM management expertise
  • Ability to manage conflict and influence without authority
  • Valid driver's license required

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:  Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Functional Experience: 7 years
