Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Pediatric Outpatient Dietitian for the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) in Allentown, PA.  This position will have a high clinical focus within the Pediatric Endocrinology Outpatient Clinic, working with children with diabetes (pre-diabetes, Type 1 and 2), obesity, and cardiac concerns.

What You'll Do

  • Have a strong understanding and commitment to the needs of the pediatric population and their families
  • Perform comprehensive nutrition evaluations and consultations to pediatric patients (21 years & younger)
  • Provide outpatient diabetes, weight-management, and cardiac education
  • Assist with departmental program evaluation and outcome measurement activities

What You Bring

  • Registered Dietitian credentials and licensure in the state of PA
  • 1 year of experience working with pediatric patients
  • strong comprehension of the principles of clinical nutrition practice
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • good time management skills/organization and be a self-starter and team player

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

 

Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
