Sodexo is excited to announce a new opportunity at Bridgeport Hospital, a 300+ bed acute care hospital with retail and patient food services and part of the Yale New Haven Health System, located in Bridgeport, CT. As the hospital completes a major renovation of its retail dining space, we are seeking a Chef Manager to lead culinary operations in the brand-new café and market, opening this fall.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced food service professional with retail culinary expertise and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences in a healthcare setting.

Lead and develop a team of 10 frontline hospital staff, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
Oversee daily operations, including morning prep, menu execution, lunch service, and ongoing retail support.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards; ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
Collaborate with hospital and Sodexo leadership to drive culinary innovation and customer satisfaction.
Maintain operational flexibility with a schedule that may include occasional weekends or varied shifts to support business needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
3+ years of retail culinary management experience (healthcare experience a plus).
Proven success in leading teams and managing high-volume food operations.
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance practices.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A passion for hospitality, innovation, and enhancing the dining experience for patients, visitors, and staff.
