Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I to support University Hospitals’ extensive ambulatory network of 100+ clinics. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing medical technologies that support patient care in fast-paced outpatient environments. The BMET I ensures medical equipment is safe, reliable, and regulatory compliant, while gaining exposure to a wide range of clinical devices and systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on general medical equipment across multiple ambulatory clinics, including IV pumps, exam tables, AEDs, defibrillators, refrigerators, and other diagnostic and treatment devices.
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and calibrate equipment to ensure safe and effective use.
Collaborate with clinical staff across the ambulatory network to identify equipment issues and provide timely solutions.
Document all service activities accurately, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and Sodexo/University Hospitals standards.
Support readiness for inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Maintain financial accountability for parts, service, and repair costs.
Uphold a strong safety mindset, ensuring a safe environment for patients, providers, and staff.

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
